Review: Let's say I've used quite a few things to study French. This is one of the more helpful things out there. Namely, it addresses the verbs, which is a biggie if you are going to use French for more than just traveling or basics. Sure, you can get by with a few of the cases, but you won't get far if you can't use them all. And use them proficiently.I'm using L'obs, Frantastique and Kwiziq (forget Duolingo) as well. Kwiziq is useful for drills, but their explanations aren't always helpful. Actually, the online stuff is good for drill, but you need a teacher to really help you. This book is good if you have the fundamentals and need to review. I think it's written in English for Anglophones, which some of the other things aren't.

Review: This is three books in one. I wish I had had it years ago. Excellent articles on grammar, very useful verb tables showing all the tenses, and lots of vocabulary categorized by topics such as"greetings and everyday phrases," "air travel," "food and drink," "art and literature," "music," and many other topics. One of the best texts on the French language for those who wish to learn French that I have had.

Review: After trying 3 different online learning programs, I "wasn't getting it". Something was flawed with how I was learning. "Complete French Grammar Verbs Vocabulary: 3 Books in 1 (Collins Easy Learning)" is an AMAZING learning tool. It explained in very plain, understandable language what I was needing to know to give my learning a kick start. I love this book and rather than jump around through the pages, I started at the beginning and am reading it page-by-page. It is very easy to understand and does not use confusing language it assumes I know. There is also a glossary for all grammar words.

Review: It didn't turn out a complete French as there isn't a conversation section, just lists of words by theme,and I bought it mostly for the purpose of increasing my vocabulary. You can'tearn vocabulary just by going through lists of words! Had to return for that reason.
